The ATF has new plans for gun control under President Joe Biden’s direction, these new plans might make you and every firearms owner you know a felon.
The new rules on stabilizing braces are extremely complicated and most gun owners struggle to understand if they are violating the law or not. Some speculate that these laws were made intentionally complicated so that Americans would simply opt to turn in or register their AR-Pistols.
The Freedom for Economic Education foundation put out a piece about these new regulations. In the piece, they point out that the new rules ensure very few firearms pass the test. This means that the many firearms that do not pass the test will be made illegal unless they are quickly registered with the ATF and a $200 tax is paid.
There are estimated to be anywhere from 10 million to 40 million AR-pistol owners in America, we get this broad range from the sales data of pistol braces and other parts. When these new requirements go into effect many of these Americans whose guns fail to pass the test will become felons overnight.
This is a major issue, not just because innocent Americans may face jail time, but because Americans are going to become criminals without any law change by Congress or their state. A federal agency is going to make law-abiding citizens criminals with the stroke of the pen.
