Audrey Hale

The Metro Nashville Police Department have announced they will be releasing the the manifesto of the Covenant mass shooter. Authorities investigating the murders of three children and three staff members at the Covenant School in Nashville on March 27 have obtained the manifesto left by the shooter, Audrey Hale, per reports.

MNPD stated, “While the word manifesto was used on the first day, we have since referred to these as writings or journals.”

“The investigation has progressed to the point where the Covenant shooter’s writings are now being reviewed for public release. This process is currently underway and will take some time.”” they added.

The manifesto was found as part of the investigation, along with 20 diaries, five laptops, a suicide note, and other writings by Hale, which were seized from her parents’ house, as well as two memoirs, five Covenant School yearbooks, and several cellphones.

The general public and Tennessee lawmakers have been urging law enforcement to release the manifesto, hoping that it could bring some closure and help understand the motivation behind the deadly shooting at the Christian elementary school. Various commentators have also joined in this call.

Releasing the manifesto could provide insights into Hale’s mindset and the events leading up to the shooting. It could also help identify warning signs that were missed by those around her and highlight the need for better mental health support and gun control measures.

Overall, the release of the manifesto could provide important information and contribute to preventing similar tragedies in the future.
