The Krummlauf

The Krummlauf was a Sturmegwher 44 with a bent barrel. These bent barrels came in 30°, 45°, 60° and 90° bends.

The Krummlauf only saw brief use in WWII and it never helped the Nazi’s win any conflicts because it was ineffective at best. When the Krummlauf wasn’t turning the rounds it fired into shrapnel that only went a couple dozen yards, it sent rounds in seemingly random directions. A skilled German marsmen could get a passable grouping at 100 yards with the 30° variant but anything more was a pipedream.

The Krummlauf was more of an attachment than a firearm to fair but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t stand in the text books.
