Everyone’s favorite 3 letter agency is back and bolder than before! The ATF decided to make a post on social media that is asking disgruntled lovers to report their ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend if they illegally traffic firearms.
The Facebook post reads “Valentine’s Day can still be fun even if you broke up. Do you have information about a former (or current) partner involved in illegal gun activity? Let us know, and we will make sure it’s a Valentine’s Day to remember! Call 1-888-ATF-TIPS or email [email protected].” The post also came with a graphic, see below.
Many have already called out the post for being tone deaf and others have said that the post is encouraging disgruntled partners to call the authorities on their police.
We could join these calls calling out the ATF but instead let’s take a look at the comments of this post and see what the people have to say. As a quick note, many comments are allegedly being deleted by the ATF for being too “incendiary” so take a look while you can.
