America’s Best Game: What Are You Looking for on Your Next Hunt?

Cougar 

The cougar is one of America’s best hunts, this big cat goes by many names and can be found all throughout the United States. 

Cougars can range in size but are typically just under 3 ft tall and 7 ft 7in in length(measured from the nose to the tip of the tail.) The cougar’s coloring varies region to region but they are typically a tan akin to the color of sand, a light silvery-grey, or a light reddish brown. 

Hunting cougars can be difficult, these animals are solitary and extremely territorial. When hunting them it’s ideal to scout out an area first and figure out where it is they store their kills and where they like to lurk. When using calls to attract a cougar it is ideal to have company, these animals can be extremely dangerous.
