Many states sell goods via auction, some of these goods are generally assets seized by police and occasionally there is government surplus supplies available.
In Washington a very interesting auction took place with some firearm magazines were up for sale. This lot of magazines was impressive to say the least, any second hand seller might be able to make a quick buck selling these at a gun show so the auction drew a lot of eyeballs. There is an issue however. The magazines up for sale may not be up to Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s standard.
As was reported not that long ago, the state of Washington has decided that any magazine that holds more than 10 rounds is considered to be high capacity and Governor Inslee doesn’t want people having “high capacity” magazines.
why was this auction a problem then? Not all of the magazines show in the lot were perfectly legal 10 rounders. Some of the magazines look like they hold more than 10 rounds, so why would the government be selling them?
Now it is impossible to say with total certainty that any of these mags are “high capacity” but those AR mags look like they can hold more 10. Take a look for yourself.

Up for auction is a lot of approximately 100 used handgun and AR clips. There is quite the assortment in this lot. I noticed clips for Kimber, Ruger, Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson and much more. In this lot there is a variety of calibers like 9mm, 380ACP, 45, 40, AR15, 22, 357 and many others. I even saw 2 6mm high powered air rifle clips in this lot.
