TALO is a fascinating company that you may have heard of and if you haven’t heard of them then you probably have seen some of their work. TALO is well known for its wide variety of commemorative guns the most popular of which is its vast array of custom M1911s from Colt.

A recent custom M1911 that you may be interested in is this Aztec-inspired design.

The final Colt in the Aztec series is a hight bright polished stainless .38 Super Goverment Model

The slide is bright polished stainless and deep etched with a variety of mythological deities. The design is further highlighted by selective 24k gold plating and a serpentine Colt logo in each rear slide panel. Colt factory serial numbers are QZT001-QZT500.

The flats of the frame are bright polished. The controls and hammer are high bright polished. The pistol features gold plated hex style grip screws. The grips are unique white pearlite etched with an Aztec theme top and bottom and centered by a rampant colt gold inlay.

First shipment December 2021. Serial #’s 1-25 have a gold embellished knife

This probably isn’t the sort of thing that the everyday gun buyer is looking for, but it is interesting and something pretty to look at. This is the firearm for the collector, especially the M1911 collectors out there.
