More details have emerged about the Alec Baldwin Shooting and the authorities have now issued a search warrant for Alec Baldwin’s phone. Santa Fe Sheriffs have authorized police to review all text messages, photos, and stored location data on the actor’s phone. Judge David Segura signed off on the request this past Tuesday.

This new request for a warrant does not tell us a whole lot about the investigation other than that the police have probably not found anything to clear Baldwin of intentionally killing Halyna Hutchins. Did Baldwin intend to hurt anyone on the set? No, all evidence that we can see points to this being an accident that occurred as a result of negligence. The police do in fact need to clear Baldwin of doing anything intentional before they get to the bottom of what happened on set.

Here is a quick recap of everything that has happened since the story first broke:

  • Actor Alec Baldwin was involved in a negligent discharge on the set of the upcoming film Rust that ended the life of one individual and wounded another.
  • The on set shooting happened during filming when Alec Baldwin was doing a take with a revolver.
  • One producer claimed that the gun was safe and the onset armorer was supposed to clear the firearm prior to putting it on set.
  • Sources have confirmed that the firearm was in fact loaded with at least one round of live ammunition.
  • Baldwin claimed in a recent interview that he did not pull the trigger and while this was possible it was far more likely that he did in fact pull the trigger.

Wasn’t the pistol that was fired a single action weapon, requiring that the hammer be cocked prior to the trigger being pulled?

He admits he pulled back the hammer. If it did not lock back with a live round under the firing pin, it was negligence

An older revolver is able to fire if the hammer is pulled back and released prior to achieving half-cock. A newer revolver, with a built-in safety, will also fire under the same situation if the safety has been turned off. In the interview He stated that he pulled back the hammer and then released it. As this is described, the trigger does not have to be pulled.

Don’t know what you are talking about. The only safety on a single action revolver
are the notches in the hammer (safe, load, and ready to fire).
The hammer has to be held back to clear the first two notches or the gun cannot fire.
There is no “safety” that can be turned on or off.

He said newer guns had the safety, not antiques or replicas of them.

Warrant for his cell phone isn’t a big deal, it’s SOP.

Doesn’t the word armorer infer a certain amount of expertise or is it just another Hollywood BS title.

Anyone that has taken a hunter safety course knows you always consider a weapon as loaded and the only time you point it at an individual is if you intend to shoot them. That’s basic firearm safety. If Baldwin didn’t know that he should have taken the course. Regardless he was holding the weapon that killed this young lady he’s the one that pointed the weapon towards her therefore he’s guilty and libel for killing her. There are those who will blame everyone else to protect Baldwin especially on the left but ultimately the final blame falls on the one holding a weapon!

Too bad The Shadow and his Marxist maniacs so openly hate the NRA. Instead of burying their heads in the ideological sand they could have had an expert on set to clear the weapons…er, props… Remember, most things there don’t react too well to bullets.

God forbid these arrogant a***oles seek knowledge, wisdom and experience from anyone that doesn’t toe their party line.

Cant wait to see the civil actions start falling like rain.
