Kyle’s Law
Oklahoma legislators have put forward something called Kyle’s Law, this piece of legislation aims to rectify what happened to Kyle Rittenhouse and others who were prosecuted following a clear self-defense situation.
The law would force prosecutors to be more responsible for the smear campaigns they run in these trials, as many prosecutors take these cases they are likely going to lose just to garner political clout. This law would also require that the state bring forward enough evidence to make a case before they can make it a trial. One of the most important details is that this law would make officers liable for anything they put in charging documents, so in the event an arresting officer makes up something they can be held accountable.
