A knife-wielding maniac, who was dressed as the Joker, recently attacked a subway car in Tokyo, Japan. 17 people were injured as a result of this attack and much to the dismay of the media, there wasn’t a gun in sight.

On Halloween night a man dressed as the Joker got into a subway car in Tokyo, Japan around 8pm local time nothing was out of the ordinary as many were in costume on the subway heading to various Halloween related events. Things took a dark turn when the man dressed as the Joker took out a bottle of clear fluid and began spraying it at other passengers and around the train car. This clear fluid was hydrochloric acid and the man dressed as the Batman villain lit the fluid on fire. As flames engulfed the train car the man pulled out a knife and began attacking random people.

After the initial rampage the man who committed this atrocity was videotaped sitting quietly in a train car while smoking a cigarette.

(As many pointed out online, this video shows the assailant posturing for the media in an effort to appear calm. note that the man is visibly shaking after committing this atrocity and isn’t even inhaling any smoke from his cigarette.)

17 different people were wounded in this attack and the authorities currently believe that the man had done this as a sick suicide by cop attempt. Japan has extreme penalties for criminals of this nature, it is all but guaranteed that this man will receive the death penalty.

The only reason that the mainstream media is giving this story any attention is because of the controversy surrounding the 2019 Joker film. No gun was used in this attack and the perpetrator was not the typical media punching bag, had it not been for the controversy surrounding his costume this would be a footnote on page 6.
