Truly tragic news out of Norway this afternoon as a man has killed 5 people with a bow and arrow in the small Norwegian town of Kongsberg.
One individual reportedly terrorized the town of Kongsberg, Norway with a bow and arrow and possibly other weapons according to local media and authorities. The press is speculating that this may have been the work of a terrorist inspired by the recent events in the Middle East(notably the fall of Afghanistan following the US withdrawal from the region.) While this is just speculation many doubt the claims because the individual has not been connected to any large terror groups or terror cells in the country.
According to Jay Olsen of the Washington Times, the suspect was flagged by Norwegian authorities as having been radicalized.
Details are sparse as authorities are attempting to keep a lid on things for one reason or another, interestingly though most of the media has also ignored the story.
It should be acknowledged that this man managed to kill 5 people and wound others without using a gun and this might be why the media is staying clear of the story. This tragedy, unlike others, can not be used to exploit the good-hearted people of the world and push a certain political agenda.
This story is sad, some lunatic killed 5 people with a weapon and it’s possible that we may see more Bow Control as a result. Normal, everyday people were killed by a madman and more everyday people may be punished as a result. Surely though after bows and arrows as well as all knives and guns are banned all violence will go away for good, it’s not like anyone has ever used anything other than those things for the purposes of violence.
