The ATF has announced changes to rules on Pistol Braces, the period for public comment is coming to an end soon so this is your last chance to make your voice heard.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives intends to change the rules when it comes to Pistol Braces. The proposed rule change will classify most AR-Pistols as short-barreled rifles(SBR), thus making them illegal without the proper paperwork.

Like with all rule changes, the ATF has held a comment period for the public to voice their concerns over the rule changes. This comment period ends on September the 8th, 2021.

Why worry about it just build your own via lumber and your special needs. The facts are that I for years just used a forked limb (adding twine for support) from the Forrest I hunted in.

R.T. – As long as you’re never seen by a “Karen”, or a Fed while hunting, good to go. But I’d be very careful if you ever plan to use one at a range. For 95+% it’s all about, the ATF OK’d the use and sale – Disabled or Not! Now an estimates of 3-7 million braces are out there and suddenly will be Illegal.

I bought a manufactured AR15 pistol with a fin style pistol brace with a strap around my arm. How can the ATF approve the manufacture of the weapon then after you buy it make you a felon for owning it? Is this entrapment? Or is it extortion? Or just a dictator taking over our country?
