Virginia GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Glenn Youngkin is facing growing odds in his election against Former Democrat Governor Terry McAuliffe and he will need some serious support if he intends to win the race. Many speculate that if Youngkin wants to win the election he is going to need to back 2A hard.

The Virginia gubernatorial election has been fairly predictable in recent years, Democrats always seem to win in what was once a Republican stronghold. This year might be different however, incumbent governor Democrat Ralph Northam has been mired in controversy and might tank his fellow Democrats chance at winning the race. It goes without saying that President Joe Biden’s recent set of flubs has damaged the public’s faith in Democrat politicians, but all this might not be enough to push Youngkin into Richmond.

Youngkin needs a new wave of support to push him over the finish line, that support could come in the form of the 2A community.

Democrat Terry McAuliffe is a major proponent of gun control and threatens to bring California style gun control to the state of Virginia. Gun Control has become a major issue in the state of Virginia as Democrats in the state have passed several major pieces of gun control legislation in the state Congress and there is clear support for its opposition as evident by the many protests in Virginia’s capitol, Richmond.

Glenn Youngkin could pick up a lot of support in the state if he were to back 2A hard, but he has not. Youngkin did not fill out a survey sent to his campaign by the NRA, say what you will about the National Rifle Association but these surveys serve to inform voters about where a candidate stands on 2A. Youngkin admitted in an interview that he didn’t fill out any survey that was sent to his campaign, he tried to explain that it was not to specifically avoid the NRA survey. Regardless of why, many voters do not understand Youngkin’s position on the Second Amendment as a result of these actions.

It is imperative for the residents of Virginia to elect a leader that supports the Second Amendment, for some unexplainable reason Glenn Youngkin is dodging the key support needed to be that leader.
