South Carolina’s new open carry law has become extremely popular with residents of the state, one resident in particular, US Representative Nancy Mace, has taken a keen interest in it.

Freshman Representative Nancy Mace has been boldly sporting a pistol on her hip, she was first spotted with the firearm while at a weekend meeting with the Dorchester County Republicans. While it is certainly nice to see a Republican Congresswoman sport a handgun, many feel that this is no more than a political play.

Representative Nancy Mace heavily criticized former President Donald Trump after the January 6th Capitol Riot and has drawn in multiple challengers in her upcoming election as a result. Considering that Rep. Mace is a freshman in Congress she does not have much of a record to fall back on, this may be a political stunt designed to grab support from the 2A crowd in South Carolina.

It is impossible to tell if Nancy Mace is being authentic in her support of the Second Amendment, but one thing that points to her being more sincere is a recent altercation with Antifa she had.

Nancy Mace was subject to intimidation by the domestic terror organization Antifa. Mace awoke one morning to a call from the police, the police informed her that the family home was vandalized with several pro-Antifa messages. Following this incident Mace announced that she was arming herself with a new gun, she followed up a few weeks later saying that she attended her local range weekly.

Representative Nancy Mace is in fact embracing her 2A rights and the new freedoms in South Carolina, like many of her fellow Americans. Rep. Mace faces a tough primary in 2022, it’s unclear if she will make it through but she is banking on the 2A community for support in the political fight.
