A Wisconsin woman made one hell of a mistake while attempting to entertain a pet cat.
The woman was using the laser sight on a handgun to play with the cat and accidentally pulled the trigger and fired the gun. Unfortunately, she ended up accidentally shooting her male friend in the thigh. The man was taken to the hospital but there has not been an update on his condition, at the time of his being taken to the hospital he seemed like he was going to be alright.
A criminal complaint has been filed against the woman for negligent discharge of a firearm but the man she shot is in a whole lot more trouble. The man was out on bond and was not supposed to have a gun, but he did and this means after he is all patched up he will go straight to lock-up.
When asked what she was doing the woman told police that the gun accidentally went off. She was under the impression that the gun could not go off since the magazine was out. To the woman’s credit there are firearms that operate with a magazine safety, but perhaps clearing the chamber is a high priority.
