For years firearms enthusiasts have prayed for the day when Glock releases a rifle, that day may finally be here.
A few years ago Glock patented a carbine and some online are speculating that we may see its introduction in the near future. While speculation is nothing concrete and Glock has not made any official statements on this matter (as of now) it is still pretty neat to look over these patents once again.
One of the patent’s features o an ambidextrous magazine well for STANAG-style AR magazines. Another shows an adjustable gas block with a short-stroke gas piston system. Here are some images from the Glock patents released in the past few years, you can find several of their other patents here.
While a great concept and something many consumers are interested in, no one is sure if Glock will ever actually take the leap forward into making long arms.
