The Supreme Court has continued a longstanding trend of remaining quiet on the Second Amendment, the court had five cases they could have picked up but all the cases excluding one were rejected.

Several Second Amendment cases were rejected by the Supreme Court, many of them revolved around non-violent offenders looking to restore their gun rights. The rejection of these cases was surprising for many as the court is dominated by Trump-appointed justices. Here are the cases that the Supreme Court rejected:

Holloway v. Garland:  Raymond Holloway, the petitioner, is looking to have his gun rights restored after losing them due to a DUI. The DUI resulted in no damage and no loss of life but Holloway is still unable to own firearms.

Folojtar v. Garland: Petitioner Lisa Folojtar is looking to reobtain her gun rights after losing them for a false statement on a tax form.

Fleury v. Massachusetts: Petitioner Edward Fleury is looking to challenge the state of Massachusetts over its mandatory gun storage laws.

Flick v. Garland: Kenneth Flick is looking to have his gun rights restored. Flick lost his gun rights after getting caught selling bootleg cassette tapes.

While these cases were all rejected by the Supreme Court there was one that the court didn’t dismiss, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Keith Corlett. This case will challenge New York State’s “good cause” requirement for carrying permits.
