West Virginia will likely be the next state to adopt 2A sanctuary legislation.
HB 2694 is making its way through the West Virginia House, this bill is 2A sanctuary legislation that will help slow down the Biden Administration’s efforts to enforce gun control.
If House Bill 2694 would become law, state and local government officials will be under order to NOT enforce ANY federal bans or regulation on firearms, magazines, ammunition, or firearm accessories. This will make it significantly less likely for these kinds of federal gun control to be enforced.
This is not the first time that state law has been used to combat tyrannical federal laws. In the 1800s, some northern states, such as Pennsylvania, passed Personal Liberty Laws which made it illegal for citizens of the Commonwealth to help enforce the Fugitive Slave Act.
Likewise, Virginia and Kentucky threatened to nullify the Alien & Sedition Acts of 1798, which essentially jailed people for criticizing government officials.
American states have historically fought back against all forms of government tyranny, and West Virginia is doing it now to protect our Constitutional Right to Bear Arms!
Legislators across the country are moving to secure 2A sanctuary legislation in the wake of the Biden Administration’s gun control push. While 2A legislation will not put an end to gun control efforts it will make it much harder to enforce.
