Gun control groups and activists are overwrought with joy over Biden’s planned executive action and appointment of a new ATF head.
Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun-control group, announced that the new measures from the Biden Administration will save lives. Everytown for Gun Safety’s statement reads:
“Each of these executive actions will start to address the epidemic of gun violence that has raged throughout the pandemic, and begin to make good on President Biden’s promise to be the strongest gun safety president in history,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun safety. “In particular, ghost guns allow anyone, anywhere to easily obtain an untraceable firearm, and the Biden administration’s decision to treat them like the deadly weapons they are will undoubtedly save countless lives – as will the critical funding provided to groups that focus on city gun violence. We are also thrilled about the nomination of David Chipman to head the ATF, whose extensive law enforcement experience makes him uniquely qualified for the job. David will be an invaluable point person as this administration looks to fight illegal gun trafficking and end the special treatment of the gun industry. Finally, we are glad to hear the administration’s commitment that today’s actions are just the beginning, and look forward to continuing to work closely with them to end gun violence in this country.”
Other gun-control groups chimed in as well. Brady United Against Gun Violence also came forward about the new push from the Biden Administration:

Gun control groups were not the only ones to speak out about the Biden administration’s new announcement, pro-2A groups also spoke out about the announcement.
Gun Owners of America came out in a statement vowing to fight any effort from the Biden administration targeting DIY firearms and stabilizing braces. From Gun Owners of America:
Gun Owners of America is wholeheartedly opposed to the unconstitutional gun control threatened today by President Biden – restrictions such as the attacks on homemade and brace equipped firearms and so-called ‘Red Flag’ Gun Confiscation Orders.
Joe Biden knows he cannot beat gun owners in Congress. Instead, he’s circumventing the legislative process to impose his own tyrannical vison by executive fiat.
GOA is committed to the defense of gun owners, their pistol-braced firearms, do-it-yourself firearm kits, unserialized homemade firearms, as well as any other lawfully-purchased, constitutionally protected items the Biden Administration proposes to criminalize or confiscate.
